Dear Michelle and Scott:

I just wanted to thank you and everyone at Desert Driving School for the help and support that you gave me the last few months.

Today, I began a new chapter in my life and passed the driving test…imagine at 66 years old I have gained my freedom again!! After a living in Manhattan for 40 years where taxi’s were more convenient than driving…and when I was out of the city everyone else drive, which made it easy for me NOT to drive, and there were rare times that I would have been nice, but not necessary to drive…and I was able to “compensate” for it everywhere I traveled. I did learn to drive at 18 years old with my dad but, our car was stolen and I moved into the city and never really wanted to take the time from my budding career or vacation time and let the idea go away…until I moved to Scottsdale a year and a half ago.

Believe it or not, I was a National Sales Mgr…and traveled to every major (and minor) city in the USA…and did not drive, rent a car, etc. All of a sudden, my husband was “Driving Miss Daisy” everywhere…my freedom was gone with the desert wind!! Taxi’s are available, but not practical and cost a lot more than in NY.

Thanks to my excellent teachers, Susan Miles and Jan Fogel, I passed the test today. I am very grateful for their patience, your assistance in every way possible and for all the help everyone at Desert Driving School gave me. I was the only one OVER 18 in the class that you gave for the written test and although it was just 3 months ago, I wondered if I would ever be able to write this letter to you.

Just a note, Scott, to say thank you for the exceptional service you gave me last week when I called to get my son a driving evaluation. You went the extra mile to help us out so that my son could get an evaluation and road test. As you may know, he passed the road test and therefore got the job he was applying for at the Valley Ho Hotel.

I was very impressed with your exceptionally helpful attitude and super friendly personality. Good service such as yours is hard to find these days, and I just wanted to let you know that it didn’t go unappreciated.

Thank you to Desert Driving School. We were impressed with the instructors professionalism with us as parents and his ability to relate to ur daughter as well. Kelsey enjoyed her hours learning and gained important skills we didn't want to teach ourselves. We have already suggested to her friend's parents that they contact Desert Driving School. You have the ablity to provide teenagers with important driving skills.

When checking around at all the driving schools in the area, the people I talked to on the phone were short and rude with me. Your secretary was happy and answered all my questions. She was the deciding factor of why I decided to come to Desert Driving School. It was important to me since I am paying for this course all on my own.

My son Kirby just finished taking your course and I was out with him yesterday for a couple of hours and I wanted to say nice job and thanks! I know he enjoyed his instructor and he did a good job from what I say driving with Kirby. I suspect although he is young, he probably relates better to the younger students, than the old cranky shop teachers we got stuck with back in Minnesota when both of us were learning.
